The launch of a junior squad for the England Barmy Army Colts (midlands) was held at a meeting at Knowle & Dorridge cricket club on Sunday 6 th April following a nett and training session, there are now 22 registered juniors for the England Barmy Army Colts for the Midlands with players from County, District and club cricket from Staffs, Worcs and Warks counties with players  linked to league cricket teams within the area.

It is important that junior cricketers are made aware of opportunities, and that anyone can contact me at any time for further information, not least to register and become a part of the squads for 2008.

There are fixtures currently arranged against district as well as major county cricket clubs, not least Northants and Yorkshire in addition to an overseas tour to Dubai and a cricket festival in Buckinghamshire.

All in all it does promise to be a fantastic year for junior cricket with the England Barmy Army colts.
